Church and Development (C&D) is a non-profit making National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) established in 1996 by the Diocese of Bor of the Episcopal Church of the Sudan (ECS). This creation was intended to take over much of the humanitarian and developmental activities that the Diocesan structures found hard to handle in the then Bor North and Bor South Counties. However, in its Board meeting in 2007, the C&D board members unanimously agreed that C&D’s scope of operations should not be limited to the Diocese of Bor only.
